If your holiday destination is on the Red Sea and you want to discover Luxor, this tour is for you. You visit four highlights of Luxor: the Valley of the Kings, the Temples of Karnak and Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. With transport, and a guide and lunch.
You will be picked up early in the morning and transferred by air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor, where your guide will be waiting.
First, visit the wonders of the west bank of the Nile Valley of the Kings, with 63 royal tombs dating back nearly 4,000 years; the elaborate art that decorates their walls gives a glimpse into the lives of Egyptian rulers.
Next, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut (at Deir el Bahari), a tribute to the great star of Egyptian history, Hatshepsut has been much talked about, and not necessarily the best. She has been imagined as a femme fatale, an ambitious woman ready to do anything to take power, a Machiavellian politician determined to eliminate her rival Thutmose III.
You end your visit of the west bank with the Colossi of Memnon 19.5 m high, the height of a four-storey building, these two imposing statues seem to guard the entrance of the sacred necropolis and stand majestically in the middle of the fields.
You cross the Nile on the east bank and relax with a traditional local lunch before exploring the temple of Karnak.
Karnak is the most grandiose site in all of Pharaonic Egypt. Dating back 4,700 years, it remains the largest religious structure ever built in the world. It is not just a temple, but a gigantic complex, most of which was built during the New Kingdom (1580-1160 BC). It is the earthly home of the god Amun. He lives there. His only true servant is the pharaoh himself.
Your vehicle will drop you off at your place of residence in Hurghada.
