Hurghada

Hurghada

Hurghada is the largest resort on the Red Sea, with 40 km of coastline and the largest concentration of hotels for all budgets. It is here that you can find the lowest priced stays. Created at the beginning of the 20th century, the city has an old quarter, El Dahhar, with a vast souk (traditional market) and many small restaurants where you can taste the typical cuisine (fried seafood or simmered in a tajine in the fisherman's style; stuffed pigeon; molokheya, a green soup based on a vegetable of the same name, flavoured with coriander and garlic and served with chicken or rabbit).
